Anti-Ragging Committee

Ragging is considered a crime in educational institutions. In accordance with directives from the UGC, Govt. of India, and PCI, our institute maintains a strict Anti-Ragging Committee for the 2024-25 academic year to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Core Objectives

Our primary objective is to eliminate ragging in all forms by prohibiting undisciplined activities that cause psychological harm, shame, or embarrassment to freshers. We aim to protect the physique and psyche of every student through strict enforcement of statutory regulations.

What Constitutes Ragging:

  • Conduct that teases, treats, or handles students with rudeness.
  • Rowdy or undisciplined activities causing annoyance or fear.
  • Forcing students to perform acts that generate shame or torment.
  • Acts of physical, sexual, or homosexual abuse and lewd gestures.
  • Financial extortion or forceful expenditure put on freshers.

Duties & Oversight

Presence of faculty members at all locations to monitor activities.
Installation of anti-ragging Flexes, Posters, and Boards campus-wide.
Counseling and guidance programs for freshers and parents.
Mandatory anti-ragging affidavits from students and parents during admission.
Helpline details displayed both inside and outside college premises.
Verifying facts through enquiry and awarding disciplinary action against culprits.
ANY STUDENT FOUND INDULGING IN RAGGING WILL FACE IMMEDIATE EXPULSION AND LEGAL PROSECUTION.
